Let’s Get Knittin’ Slippers - The Cinderella

This is a continuation of our Knitting 101 sessions. My new pattern, called The Cinderella, is a simple design that allows the beginner knitter to practice both the knit and purl stitches. It’s a fun little pattern that both beginners and seasoned knitters can enjoy. The first class will be reading the pattern and learning some knitting abbreviations, learning the long-tailed cast-on and beginning the project. You’ll take your knitting home to work on it and return a week later to get help with any problems you’ve encountered and to finish the project. I will be making some decorations for your slippers…pompoms and knit flowers to dress up yours creations! Vintage buttons too! Don’t want to fancy it up or are knitting a slipper for a fella? $60 buys you the 2 classes of instruction, the pattern, the yarn and the embellishments. You will be able to borrow needles for the class. I will have a limited number needles for sale…some new, some “experienced” needles for $5 a pair. If you have knitting needles at home, by all means, bring them along! There will be 2 different weights of yarn to choose from. A set of 5.5mm needles or 8mm needles would be ideal for these yarns.
