Riding Bikes is Addictive - a bicycling-inspired Steel Fluff Collage - ready to hang - free delivery in Lower Hamilton

CA$15.00

This creation was made from a snippet of a VERY OLD “The Century Illustrated Monthly Magazine”, 1890’s, advertising Warwick Cycle Mfg Co of Springfield, Massachusetts. The Century Magazine ran from 1881 to 1930, Union Square, New York City. I added some other images/type from other cast-off magazines and books.

The Warwick bicycle was apparently… “The Strongest, the lightest. The Scorchers’ delight. The Ladies’ favourite. Rigid, handsome, fully warranted. 25lbs and $125.”

“Riding Bikes is Addictive” is done on a 4” square wooden panel with a hook for hanging, no framing required. Actual pieces of magazines, books and other ephemera are used to make this one-of-a-kind piece (no scanning or reproductions used).
